Bee Pollen & Protein Smoothie

One of the recommendations that is regularly talked about in my food addiction group is breakfast before coffee. There's a whole bunch of science behind this philosophy, which I will leave to the experts to tell you all about. What I will say is that it took some time to build the habit, but I am so glad that I did. I'm not perfect, and there are days that I forget - but I always feel so much better when I start my day this way.

Truvani Protein + Greens powder is one of my favorites and as an added bonus, it is third party tested. If you are using any sort of protein powder or other supplements, I encourage you to do the research. It's astounding how many of these companies are not third party tested and are selling a product that is full of toxins and metals. Yep, metals! I was introduced to bee pollen while in my search for homeopathic ways to ease menopause symptoms. The one I use can be found on Amazon and I definitely notice a difference. Here is the link for the one I use. Aside from menopause symptom relief, it's also a great superfood. I will sprinkle on toast or add to yogurt. My favorite way is in my smoothie.

The rest of the ingredients can really be changed up based on your preferences or what's on sale. I have listed my ingredients for the smoothie I currently have on my playlist below, but I switch things out as the seasons change or as I find new things to try. Get creative! Just get your breakfast in, especially before your coffee...and be sure to check your supplements for yucky stuff.
